I don’t, but I hope we can collect that data soon. There is certainly some amount of self-selection by profession among ideologies.

Do you have data or have studies been done regarding occupations, including self employment or hired employee, of libertarians vs. liberals & conservatives? My own experience leads me to believe libertarians are more likely to be self employed and choose careers “rational” endeavors such as engineering, science, etc.

agreed, it’s possible that appreciating libertarians doesn’t necessarily mean appreciating Tea Party members, though I’d venture that their primary concern (equity, rewarding those who produce more) is admired by many as well (e.g. http://www.polipsych.com/2010/02/20/democrats-and-republicans-agree-that-justice-fairness-are-about-equity-not-equality-or-impartiality/)

My impression is that the Tea Party has become less and less libertarian as time has gone by. Many who self-identify as now Tea Partiers seem like populists or producerists.
